The Hardy mine is a former gold-silver and fluorspar mine on the same vein system as Homestake-Jack Pot mine in Oatman Mining District in Mohave County, northwest Arizona. This explains why it produces similar pale sea-green octahedral Fluorite crystals on Quartz. This larger miniature-sized specimen features cream coloured 'spongey' Quartz matrix upon which sit octahedral Fluorite crystals which, under magnification, are seen to be like Aztec temples with their complex stepped pyramidal faces. The best shaped individual crystal is sat near the base of the specimen with the larger aggregate of Fluorite crystals a little more 'confused, but still with great crystal textures showing.
