This lovely large miniature specimen of Fluorite from Yaogangxian Mine, Yizhang County, Chenzhou Prefecture, Hunan Province, China displays wonderfully with super character. It comprises a single, 3.5 cm wide, almost 3-dimensional, glassy, pale purple cube, with darker purple outer zones, perched elegantly upon a thin layer of crystallized Quartz and associated small Dolomite crystals. The Fluorite cube is really glassy, has sharp edges and corners and some nice stepped faces, but is missing one corner. Internally, it is more translucent than transparent, but light passes through it easily to provide a bright colourful appearance. A super smaller display specimen and ex Jesse Fisher collection.
