Small numbers of unusual, and distinctive Fluorite specimens came from Kazakhstan during the 1980s and early 1990s but the tungsten mine at Kara-Oba from where they came closed in 1996. This small miniature specimen displays the classic octahedral crystal form typical of this deposit in an unusual green colour. It comprises a small cluster of intergrown crystals, with great shape and only minor damage. The crystals reach 2.2 cm across - from point to point - are tranluscent, and display a slightly 'crazed' finely crystallized surface. A small, but lovely Fluorite from a rarely seen locality. Ex Arvid Pasto collection (no. AEP1623).
