A small cabinet-sized Fluorite from the famous Cäcilia mine in the Wölsendorf Fluorite Mining District, Upper Palatinate, Bavaria, Germany, this displays typically sharp colour zonation from the pale, almost white massive Fluorite matrix through to the intense amber coloured crystallized surface of cubic crystals. Unusually, the contrast continues, but with a partial overgrowth of finely crystallized matt, grey-white Baryte upon the glossy Fluorite crystals underneath. The display face presents a slightly concave form with the sharp intergrown Fluorite crystals completely coating the surface and showing no obvious damage. Along with the thin coating of matt Baryte a couple of larger bladed Baryte crystal sit upon the coated Fluorite too. An interesting and very displayable Cäcilia mine specimen.
