There is something about the pink octahedral Fluorite crystals from the European Alps that sets them up on a different level to most world Fluorite. This beautiful miniature specimen from the mountains near Chamonix, in southeast France, features three perfect octahedral Fluorite crystals, the largest reaching 1.6 cm on edge. Two are joined on one corner, with the third separate on one edge, but all present wonderfully from the front angle. Their colour is a lovely shade of soft pink and despite their transparency revealing internal cleavage planes, externally there is no damage. A true European classic.
