This very large miniature Fluorite specimen comes from Yaogangxian mine in Chenzhou Prefecture, Hunan Province in China, known for having produced some of the most exceptional Fluorite specimens in not only China, but the world, across a broad range of colours. This great smaller specimen from Arvid Pasto's famous worldwide Fluorite collection (no. AEP1254) features a very glassy pale sea-green Fluorite cube, reaching over 3 cm on edge sat alongside the base of a terminated white Quartz crystal. The Fluorite crystal is very well balanced, with smooth cubic faces, but has slight chipping to one of its upper corners and one of the corners on the reverse. Internally, it has good transparency but with moss-like inclusions and a subtle darker green band forming a thin outer zone around its edges. A nicely coloured, good sized glassy Fluorite crystal and featured as figure 131 in Arvid Pasto's book, Collector's Guide to Fluorite, in 2009.
