Fluorite specimens from the Italian alps are extremely rare and despite a small amount of damage, this miniature specimen from Vizze Valley (Pfitsch Valley) is a real treat. Several well-formed octahedral Fluorite crystals are sat nicely for display upon a thin bed of finely crystallized Quartz. The Fluorite crystals are grey, to faintly green internally, but this is obscured by a beige-coloured dull coating. This coating does not detract from the sharp edges and amazing form of the crystals that reach about 1 cm wide. Two of the crystals are, unfortunately damaged, one having lost its tip, the other with a damaged edge, but without this there would be no indication of the internal colour of the crystals. On balance, a really interesting and unusual locality specimen.
