If complexity is your thing, but you have an eye for beauty too, then you might well want to have a detailed look at this wonderful specimen from the remote Huanggang Fe-Sn Deposit in the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region, China. Standing upright for display, this cabinet-sized specimen is made up of a layer of finely crystallized Milky Quartz, occurring as small florette-like growths coating veinstone. This bright white background is then scattered with vibrant green 'rounded' step-faced cubo-octahedral Fluorite crystals. These Fluorite crystals reach 2 cm in diameter, have a wonderful translucency through which light can pass and brighten their colour, and a lovely 'wet' lustre. This is an especially fine Fluorite and therefore it is unsurprising that it was formerly in Jesse Fisher's collection.
