A great little cluster of opaque, dark blackberry-purple Fluorite crystals highlighted by translucent patches of intense lilac, especially in transmitted light. This lovey specimen is from the Cínovec ore deposit in the Krusné Hory (Ore) mountains which span Saxony and the Ústí Region in Germany and the Czech Republic. The cubic crystals typically measure about 1 to 1.2 cm on edge with bright lustrous faces and a crocodile-skin growth pattern, highlighted by differences in translucency. The Fluorite is attached to a little milky Quartz matrix over which are some tiny, terminated Quartz crystals.
