The locality of Dassu lies within the breathtakingly spectacular Braldu Valley of the Skardu District in Pakistan; Dassu is sometimes referred to as Haramosh Dassu. This compact cabinet specimen, with a trimmed Quartz matrix, is encrusted in reclining, terminated Quartz crystals to over 5 cm long. It displays superb individual single crystals of translucent, pale sea green Fluorite and colourless, gemmy Topaz. The Fluorite crystal is an equant cube, 1.5 cm on edge with prominent bevelled corners forming the octahedron. The Topaz crystal is beautiful and an excellent example, measuring approximately 3 x 2.5 cm and 1.5 cm high, nestling amongst Quartz crystals on the same display face as the Fluorite. It's a lovely specimen from Dassu, in the Gilgit-Baltistan territory of Pakistan.
