It is uncommon that we see Fluorite specimens from Argentina, but crystals are known from the pegmatites at Papachacra in Belén Department, Catamarca, Argentina. This nice example from these pegmatites was found in about 2005 and passed to the Jan Buma Collection (no. 050108) from whom it was obtained by Arvid Pasto for his comprehensive worldwide Fluorite collection. Upon it octahedral Fluorite crystals with an irregular violet color distribution reach up to 1.7 x 1.7 cm in size on a twinned Microcline matrix with small Quartz crystals.
