This small miniature is composed entirely of intergrown intensely dark purple Fluorite crystals, a shade that can almost be termed black. The 6 to 10 mm crystals have mainly smooth faces and are frequently slightly distorted from the cube, making more rectangular structured crystals, a habit sometimes observed in Fluorite. This specimen is from the W'lsendorf Fluorite Mining District in the Upper Palatinate district of Germany and is lightly dusted with micro-crystals of golden Pyrite as both cubes and botryoidal druses.
