Hilton mine is one of the most famous Fluorite-producing mines in northern England on account of its exceptional amber-coloured cubic and twinned crystals. On rare occasions these crystals can reach 5 cm on edge, but the vast majority are much smaller with their quality coming from how gemmy they are. This magnificent miniature specimen is dominated by a 2 cm wide twinned glassy crystal balanced spectacularly on a small piece of matrix. This crystal has superb body colour and flashes of internal brightness from inclusions. An extremely choice Hilton mine Fluorite.
