Halsbrücke is a famous old lead-zinc-silver and later fluorspar and Baryte mining district to the north of Freiberg in Saxony, Germany. This cabinet-sized crystallized Fluorite plate from Halsbrücke is a really fine intense amber colour, has large (to 3 cm), sharp, mostly undamaged crystals and a really fine bright glassy lustre. Sparse surface inclusions of what appears to be Pyrite, or perhaps Chalcopyrite are also evident.
