This large miniature combination of a well terminated Elbaite Tourmaline crystal sitting sub-parallel to a milky white Quartz crystal makes a beautiful combination from the Anjanabonoina Pegmatites of the Betafo District in Antananarivo Province, Madagascar. The Elbaite is essentially opaque with a translucent, frosted outer skin. The prism is a bluish, misty sea-green containing random patches of powdery, pale bubble gum pink. The Elbaite prism is vertically striated, the furrows highlighted by the slightly creamy white frosted surface. Attached to the Tourmaline is a well developed milky Quartz crystal, which also has partly attached/included zones of the same sea-green and pale pink elbaite.
