This is quite a funky Elbaite crystal from the modern finds at Coronel Murta in the Jequitinhonha Valley, Minas Gerais, Brazil. The prismatic crystal is 5.4 cm in length and nicely terminated with pyramidal faces but it is its prominent raspberry pink tip against its predominately green body which stands out. That said, of equal attention is its white 'cape' where its lower two-thirds are draped around with 'fluffy' white aggregates of either Lepidolite or Cleavelandite.
