Historically well-known for fine Diopside crystals, very few are seen in collections nowadays in comparison to Wilauite and Grossular crystals from the Lake Baikal Area in the Eastern-Siberian Region, Russia. This very large miniature, to very small display specimen features several deep green prismatic Diopside crystals, of what would probably be termed the variety Baikalite. Overlapping and facing in different directions, none of the crystals are fully terminated, although the central crystal tapers towards a termination but has a fractured tip. This is an uncommonly seen classic and presents nicely with a fine silky sheen to its crystal surfaces. The back of the specimen is a fractured surface but on the front the generally flat-lying crystals are shown in 3-dimensions.
