Danburite, a calcium boron silicate, forms crystals of world-class quality at Charcas in the Mexican state of San Luis Potos'. This small cabinet specimen is magnificent, composed of four individual crystals all emanating from a common base and standing upright. The largest crystal measures 7.2 x 3.8 x 2.5 cm and the next largest is almost identical. The crystals are ice clear and in most parts perfectly transparent. Three of the four prisms are perfectly terminated with razor-sharp edges and similar asymmetric bevelled edges. Each prism grades to a milky translucent then opaque base of cloudy Danburite. A most showy Danburite from Charcas which will display superbly.
