Plush, red velvet-like mats of post box red Chalcotrichite, the acicular variety of Cuprite, cover areas of up to 13 x 8 mm, complimenting leafy to emerald-green Malachite. Both minerals sit on the top display face of a thin dark brown veneer of Goethite covering a ferruginous Quartz matrix. An uncommon specimen from Bedford United mine, close to Gunnislake and about four kilometres south-west of Tavistock in Devon, England.
