Wheal Jane in Cornwall is well-known for many fine mineral specimens, with Ludlamite probably being the one that collectors think of first. Cronstedtite tends to get overlooked by some, but for rare species aficionados Wheal Jane is a top site for fine Cronstedtite crystals and certainly the best in Britain. This lovely miniature specimen displays many well-formed, glossy, black crystals, and crystal sprays of Cronstedtite upon botryoidal Goethite coating Quartz crystals. A little Pyrite and Siderite is also present. Two old labels from Mike Brooke's collection accompany the specimen and show that it was originally acquired in 1982.
