Black blades of the copper-manganese oxide Crednerite are overgrown with velvety druses of sub-mm, light leaf-green acicular Malachite. These line a 1 x 2 cm vug capped by bright snow-white stacked plates of Hydrocerussite to 2 x 0.8 cm, on and in a matrix of mixed massive Calcite and manganese oxides. A great specimen from Vein 2 in the famous Torr Works quarry at Cranmore in Somerset. Torr Works quarry is better known to collectors as Merehead quarry; Merehead being the railway loading terminal at the quarry.
