Mounds of highly reflective glassy pink Cobaltoan Smithsonite crystals form a most aesthetic small cabinet specimen from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. The Cobaltoan Smithsonite crystals are typically around 1.5 cm across and many exhibit very finely disseminated sooty-black sulphide inclusions, preferentially skewed towards one direction. The crystals are composed of sharply shaped compound crystals, individually with a slightly waxy, yet an overall glassy lustre. A beautiful specimen.
