Honesty is always the best policy! We are unsure exactly what the pink Cobaltoan Dolomite is pseudomorphing or epimorphing after but whatever, it has formed a hollow cast of a well-formed crystal on a Mottramite matrix. A very unusual thing! This intriguing miniature is from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia and apart from having a fascinating morphology, is a most aesthetic pale candy pink contrasting nicely against the deep leaf green Mottramite. The Cobaltoan Dolomite forms a thin, angular hollow shell of exacting dimensions and with one side open, reveals its internal morphology. Something very different for your collection and from a famous Tsumeb thumbnail-miniature collection.
