A lustrous, rich cabinet specimen of Cobaltoan Dolomite displaying various textures and shades of pink, from the Tsumeb mine in Namibia. A crystallized dome-like 4.5 x 3 cm cluster of light, pastel candy pink Cobaltoan Dolomite sits on top of the specimen, the colour and fine, grainy texture of Edinburgh rock . For those of you not in-the-know, Edinburgh rock is a traditional candy confection and a must buy if visiting the Scottish capital! This dome is composed of completely interwoven Dolomite blades with a sparkling, sucrosic texture. It sits on a 9 cm long rib of light grey and white Dolomitic rock matrix, overgrown with individual Cobaltoan Dolomite crystals and brighter pink rosettes. A showy cabinet specimen with many eye-catching shades of candy pink.
