A much sought after lustrous deep blue 'acorn' habit of Clinoclase on lustrous sky blue Liroconite, two consummate Wheal Gorland, St. Day species. The well-developed crystallized acorn of Clinoclase measures 5 mm across and displays curved crystal faces around the acorn. Below the acorn can be seen a further crystal cluster of Clinoclase. The crystals of Liroconite form a fine druse of classic wedge-shaped habit crystals. At one end of the specimen crystals of Liroconite are overgrown by a thin layer of translucent green Chrysocolla. Also, a smaller cavity on the opposite end of the specimen has further crystals of Liroconite. The matrix is a typical Goethite gossan, with remnant areas of metallic yellow tarnished Chalcopyrite. A super Wheal Gorland specimen, miniature in size, but of the highest level of quality.
