Four Chalcostibite crystals are embedded in a matrix of toffee brown Ankerite, Siderite or a mixture of both which form characteristic, slightly curved saddle-shaped crystals from the Saint-Pons outcrop, Provence-Alpes-Côte d'Azur, France. The display face measures 4 cm wide and the largest crystal 2 cm long. The Chalcostibite , a copper antimony sulphide, or copper sulphosalt, form lustrous, bright metallic silver crystals with large areas of smooth Chalcostibite, with other areas striated parallel to the prism's length. Crystals also shows various cracks, of uncertain origin; possibly through blasting or tectonic processes.
