An aesthetic specimen of Chalcopyrite coating Tetrahedrite crystals to 1.2 cm on edge, perched on a bed of small buff-coloured Siderite crystals. Two small complex Galena crystals sit to one side next to a larger and cleaved cubic Galena crystal. From Clausthal-Zellerfeld in Harz, Lower Saxony, Germany, the Chalcopyrite forms a thin 0.5 mm coating over the gunmetal-grey Tetrahedrite crystals; the Chalcopyrite is a speckled, golden-brass colour displaying slight iridescence. The Siderite has a bright silky lustre and is peppered with 1 mm, creamy-translucent curved blades of Dolomite.
