A fine small miniature of turquoise green Chalcophyllite crystals lining two vugs in a grey and tan, iron-stained granite matrix from Wheal Gorland, then part of the St. Day United Mines in Gwennap, Cornwall. The Chalcophyllite forms well-defined hexagonal platy crystals of 1 to 2 mm diameter and also pervades the matrix where sub-mm crystals line intergranular void space. The specimen comes with three previous labels: a private German collection; Paul A. Lowe (Truro) stock label and a very neatly written University of Pennsylvania label.
