A delicate and beautiful miniature of micro-crystals of Chalcocite from St. Ives Consols mine, just west of the coastal and historic town of St. Ives in Cornwall, England. Sharply developed Chalcocite crystals to about 1 mm across form the entirety of this specimen and form a vuggy, hackly textured surface. The overall colour is a deep bluish-black with well defined areas of slightly iridescent cobalt blue and peacock mauve and lilac.
