This delightful and highly lustrous Cerussite V-twin is from the second oxidation zone in the Tsumeb mine. The 2nd oxidation zone is associated with the North Break Zone (NBZ) fracture which occurred between Levels 25 and 35. This off-matrix specimen is coloured mid-sherry brown by finely divided sulphide inclusions with colourless patches, the faces of which are deeply striated. In transmitted light the specimen displays various shades of smoky to golden translucent brown. An excellent, thick, and chunky example of a classic Tsumeb Cerussite V-twin.
