This is an iconic Tsumeb mine classic. An exquisite supremely gemmy, colourless, twinned Cerussite crystal (the longest branch reaching 2.8 cm in length) rises dramatically from finely crystallized Smithsonite. The Cerussite crystals are bladed and classically orthorhombic in form, displaying superb sharp crystal faces with just very slight contact in a couple of places. These crystals rise from a crystal druse of sharply formed rhombic crystals of colourless to grey Smithsonite coating a dark Sulphide matrix. Large, glassy, Cerussite twins like these are really only known in this quality from Tsumeb mine and this miniature specimen is a stunning example.
