An out of the ordinary and hence rather eye-catching specimen of smoky translucent Cerussite crystals on a wood-like matrix of dark Goethite and pink-tinged Aragonite. From the Broken Hill Proprietary mine, Broken Hill, New South Wales, Australia, the pale salmon-pink Aragonite forms horizontal stalactitic druses along the recessed surface of the Goethite matrix and also attractive spherical globules of a slightly deeper salmon-pink. A single dominant elongated V-shaped Cerussite crystal, 1.5 cm in width, sits in the middle of the specimen. Most attractive in a different sort of way!
