A terrific and well-priced lovely example of reticulated blades of lustrous white Cerussite, richly scattered over a heavy gossany manganese-rich matrix from the mines at Broken Hill, Australia. The sediments which form the broad structure of the Broken Hill ore deposit date from the late mid-Precambrian and, as seen in this example, are heavily metamorphosed to grey quartzites. A great value and exceptionally fine specimen of reticulated Cerussite which simply 'shouts' Broken Hill at any admirer!
