This is a great sized Cerussite twin for its price. It comes from the world-renowned Tsumeb mine in Namibia from where the world's finest twinned Cerussite crystals have come. It is not only a single twin, but a cyclic twin, where the twinning repeats to form a radiating crystal aggregate with each 'arm' representing an individual crystal. This example shows three main 'arms' but other much smaller ones continue around its base. The main crystals are quite chunky (and reach over 3 cm in length) and display good shape with little obvious damage, but with natural pitting to their surface and slight alteration, possibly the beginnings of Hydrocerussite. A really very tidy smaller display example of this classic Cerussite twinning form from Tsumeb mine. Ex Hettrich Collection.
