Small but robust creamy-white blocky crystals of Cerussite are sparsely scattered upon the rusty-orange surface of a miniature-sized piece of gossan from the famous historic mining town of Jáchymov (St. Joachimsthal) in Karlovy Vary, Bohemia, Czech Republic. The largest crystal reaches 4.5 mm across and appears to show cyclic twinning. Despite being small, the crystals are in great condition and any specimens are rare from this important location.
