This nicely crystallized Cornish Cassiterite on killas rock is not only from the less-often seen Killifreth mine near Chacewater, but is an old-timer too, with a fine old (late 19th to early 20th century) handwritten label affixed to it. The identity of this label is not known. Two other typed number labels are attached, one older label reading 100, but appearing to have another number cropped off the end, and no. 932 from the Bruce Grant Collection. The combination of fine, glossy, Cassiterite crystals and great provenance is really nice to have.
