The complex potassium-sodium-calcium silicate containing carbonate, fluorine and hydroxyl ions, forms a distinctive and highly aesthetic vivid blue mineral in the marble xenoliths in Poudrette quarry at Mont Sainte-Hilaire. Excellent specimens were found intermittently between 1983 and 1987, typically as layered crystalline masses embedded in marble, but rarely forming cavities with euhedral crystals. This gorgeous good sized miniature (measuring 4.7 x 4.7 x 4.0 cm) displays excellent cubic crystals of this rare species; a specimen which will compliment even the most advanced Mont Sainte-Hilaire collection! Very tasty indeed!
