A fascinating, well crystallised Calcite dusted with sparkling Pyrite micro-crystals and a second generation of Calcite from Uranium Mine No. 21 at H'je, P?'bram, in the Czech Republic. The Calcite forms steep sided, spire-like scalenohedral crystals to almost 8.0 cm tall, the crystals appearing triangular in cross-section due to the six prism faces being alternately broad and narrow, causing the former to dominant. These large crystals the Calcite is honey-tan internally, but have an outer coating of mid-grey, sulphide included Calcite. The surfaces of the five major crystals are overgrown with milky translucent Calcite crystals of 2 to 5 mm, all aligned epitaxially to the vertical and themselves dusted in micro-crystalline Pyrite.
