Translucent white pseudo-hexagonal nail-head Calcite crystals form a compact cluster over a hidden matrix of massive micro-crystallised Calcite. This habit is characteristic of that from Parc mine at Llanrwst in the Gwydyr Forest area, Conwy, Wales. Between the boundaries of some Calcite crystal groups, 2 mm equant crystals of steely-bronze Marcasite form small clusters and chains.
