An impressive colourless and mainly transparent Calcite crystal, double terminated with an overall length of 6 cm. From the famous Dal'negorsk mining region in Primorsky Krai, Russia, the Calcite forms a six sided 'dog-tooth' crystal, 4.5 cm long, with an asymmetric and opposite facing 1.5 cm crystal, and hence double terminated. Opaque to translucent cream Calcite covers the base of the large crystal over which 30 to 40 lustrous black Ilvaite crystals are scattered. A choice miniature Calcite with Ilvaite from Russia.
