Highly distorted rhombohedral milky-white Calcite crystals form flattened pseudohexagonal crystals with Mercedes-type triangular patterns, almost completely covering a pale purple core of crystallised Fluorite. From the famous Blackdene mine at Ireshopeburn in Weardale, County Durham, England, under LWUV the Calcite is a uniform salmon-orange with odd patches of blue-white fluorescence where the Fluorite is exposed. A very good Calcite with associated Fluorite from Blackdene mine.
