A little to the south of the world-famous Hilton mine, lies the smaller Amber Hill mine. Specimens from there are rarely seen, other than in older collections and that this exactly the case here. A small cluster of amber-cream coloured Fluorite crystals, with zoned purple interior banding, is topped by two clusters of flattened, shallow-angled lenticular Calcite crystals. These Calcite crystals show some minor damage to their edges, but this is a rare locality piece and collected a long time ago. Ex Arthur Scoble Collection (1910-1986) and ex Dr Stephen Crook Collection. Arthur Scoble's distinctive typed label is attached to the back of the specimen.
