Two parallel, partly intergrown pseudo-hexagonal Calcite crystals sit at a slight angle to the base and are framed by drusy white Dolomite crystals. The Calcite crystals are translucent cream to off-white and display alternating broad and narrow prism faces. This specimen is from the Johannes mine, an old Steatite mine at Göpfersgrün in Bavaria, Germany, where it is thought all specimens originated from the now long abandoned opencast workings.
