A rectangular-shaped, small cabinet specimen of stacked disk-like flattened Calcite crystals from the mines around C'novec/Zinnwald in the Ore Mountains region of Saxony & 'st' Region (Bohemia) spanning Germany and the Czech Republic. The distorted and flattened nail-head crystals form saucer-shaped platelets with hexagonal symmetry and stack-up upon each other to create leaning, pagoda-like stepped towers with translucent honey-tan prism faces and cream pinacoid terminations, many with tan-coloured centres. A Calcite with a fascinating structure from the C'novec-Zinnwald ore region.
