Locality
Vrančice, Příbram District Central Bohemian Region Czech Republic
Condition
No recorded repairs
Quite stubby and chunky scalenohedral Calcite crystals of between 1.5 to almost 3 cm tall form a tightly developed long-narrow group from the Vran?ice area within the P?'bram mining district of the Czech Republic. The crystals, due to their squat geometry, clearly exhibit the flattened rhombohedral habit in the three-face terminations. The Calcite is milky-white, but this is mainly obscured by a pervasive dusting of blackish to dark chocolate-brown sulphides.
