A classic, lustrous, milky white Wheal Wrey Calcite specimen composed from triangular-section prismatic crystals. The Calcite crystals measure to 4.6 cm form an aesthetic, parallel growth habit, translucent white with a tint of pink. Minute crystals of metallic yellow Pyrite are scattered over the Calcite prisms, especially at their terminations. Some mines are famous for particular specimens that they produced and Calcite from Wheal Wrey is a consummate Cornish classic of its type.
