Read on because this is one beautiful and stunning Chinese Calcite. A small cabinet sized specimen from the Xianghuapu mine in Chenzhou Prefecture, China, this specimen would grace the cabinet of any specialist Calcite collector. A perfectly triangular transparent crystal in cross section stands 4.5 cm tall, and projects vertically from a similar but horizontally developed, double terminated crystal of equal clarity and beauty, 6.3 cm long. All prism faces have a glassy lustre beyond measure and this, together with the underlying carpet of smaller pointed acicular-type Calcite crystals produces a glistening and glittering crystalline array. It is unusual, highly aesthetic, and splendid.
