An unusual looking group of steep-sided, milky-white Calcite scalenohedral crystals to around 4.5 cm tall, with most faces coated in micro-crystalline Pyrite. Although opaque, the Pyrite layer is so thin and of an almost non-metallic, greyish-green appearance, it could at first glance be mistaken for a surface inclusion of clay. However, on close examination the Pyrite is a dull metallic brassy-gold. An attractive Calcite from the P?'bram mining district in the Czech Republic.
