This fine dramatic Calcite displays the classic Příbram District tooth-like scalenohedral form. The specimen is a 'floater' with no obvious point of attachment to where it formed - the base being coated in a layer of small scalenohedral crystals. In common with all fine Příbram Calcite of this habit, the crystals have a beautiful silky lustre, and show colour zoning adding character. Overall there is virtually no damage, with just the tips of two lower crystals missing, but the eye is not drawn to them because of the wonderful sculptural shape of the other crystals higher up. Ex Hans Engelbrecht collection no. 2004, with his card label. Acquired by him in 1977.
