This small cabinet specimen displays a distinctive stacked 'poker-chip' habit of Calcite from the Cínovec/Zinnwald mining region straddling the border between Saxony, Germany & Ústí Region (Bohemia), Czech Republic. The Calcite crystals are colour zoned from cream to orange and form four main stacks upon a more granular Calcite matrix. Calcite from this region is considered rare and this is an extremely fine example. Ex Hans Engelbrecht collection.
